About Me
I have completed a Masters in Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at ACU, am a registered general psychologist, and an Educational and Developmental Psychology Registrar. Before becoming a psychologist, I was a teacher for seven years in the public school system. My experience in both education and psychology has given me a strong understanding of the challenges children and families face in learning and development.
I have also worked as a psychologist within the Department of Education, supporting students, families, and schools with a wide range of needs.
My practice is neuroaffirming, client-centred, and strengths-based, recognising that people are not “disordered,” but may experience difficulties depending on the environments and systems around them. I work from a social model of care, focusing on reducing barriers, building on strengths, and helping families and schools create supportive contexts where children can thrive. While my main focus is on supporting children and adolescents aged 10-17 through assessments and therapy, I also provide assessments across the lifespan.
At the heart of my work is a belief that every person deserves to feel understood and supported to thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, being outdoors, travelling, and connecting with extended family and friends - often alongside our two boxers.
